Getting Started
Set up your account and start using LetzGo
Privacy-First by Design
LetzGo NEVER accesses your phone contacts. We don't sync numbers, we don't share them, we don't even store them. Connect with people through profile links and QR codes - your private data stays private. This is what makes LetzGo different.
Creating Your Account
Download LetzGo
Get the app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. It's completely free!
Enter Your Phone Number
We'll send you an OTP (One-Time Password) to verify your number.
Set Up Your Profile
Add your display name and profile photo. Your display name is what others will see.
Start Exploring!
You're all set! Create events, start chatting, or split expenses with friends.
Share your profile link with friends so they can send you a connection request. Or show them your QR code - they scan, request, you accept, connected!
Connecting with People
Here's how people connect on LetzGo - all while keeping your private information private (remember, we never access your contacts!):
Search by Name (Most Common)
Search for people using their display name, first name, or last name. If their privacy settings allow discovery, you'll find them. No phone numbers involved.
Share Your Profile Link
Every user gets a unique shareable profile link. Share it via text, messaging apps, social media, or in person. They tap it, send you a connection request with an optional message, and once you accept - you're connected!
Scan QR Code
Your profile has a unique QR code. Meeting someone? Let them scan it, send a connection request, and once you accept - you're connected! Zero personal data exchanged.
Join Events Together
When you join an event, you can see other participants and send them connection requests. Natural way to meet people through shared activities - but you still need mutual consent to chat!
Control who can find you: Settings → Privacy → Discoverability. Options: Public (anyone can search), Contacts Only (reserved for future feature), Private (only connect via QR/link/events). Your phone number and email NEVER appear anywhere.
Understanding Connections
LetzGo connections work differently - privacy-first by design:
Consent-Based Connection System
Important: Having someone's profile name or link does NOT mean you can message them directly. LetzGo requires mutual consent to protect everyone's privacy.
How It Works:
- Send Connection Request: Find someone via search, QR code, or profile link → tap "Connect"
- Include a Message: Write an optional introduction message with your request (e.g., "Hi! We met at the workshop")
- Wait for Acceptance: The other person receives your request WITH your message
- Start Chatting: Only after they accept can BOTH of you start full conversations
You CAN:
- Search users by display name, first name, or last name
- Send connection requests with an introduction message
- Connect by scanning someone's unique QR code
- Connect with people in events you join together
- Share your profile link - let others send you connection requests
- Accept or decline connection requests
- Control your discoverability (public, private, or in-between)
You CANNOT:
- Message someone without their consent - connection must be accepted first
- Search or find people by phone number
- See anyone's phone number or email address
- Force someone to accept your connection request
- Send multiple requests to the same person (one request only)
- Message event participants unless connected
We NEVER:
- Access or sync your phone contacts
- Show phone numbers publicly (yours or anyone else's)
- Share your email address
- Allow searching by phone number
- Let strangers message you without connection (no spam!)
- Force you to be discoverable (you control visibility)
Just met someone at an event or in person? Open your profile → tap "Share QR Code" → they scan it → sends connection request with optional message → they accept → now you're connected! Or tap "Share Profile" to send your unique profile link via text, email, or any messaging app.
Connection Request Flow
Find the Person
Use search, scan their QR code, or tap their profile link. You'll see their profile with a "Connect" button.
Send Connection Request
Tap "Connect" → optionally write an introduction message (e.g., "Hey! We met at the tech meetup"). This message helps them remember you and decide whether to accept.
They Receive Your Request
They see your name, profile photo, and your introduction message. They can then Accept or Decline your request.
Connection Established!
Once accepted, you both can now send messages freely, see each other in your connections list, and invite each other to events and groups.
This consent-based system ensures no one can spam or message you without your permission. It's privacy protection built into the core of LetzGo. Even if someone has your profile link, they still need your approval to chat with you.

The Magic: Running Balance
End of the month, they open Splitz. Crystal clear view: Ravi overpaid by ₹2,300. Aditya underpaid by ₹900. Karthik owes ₹800. Sameer owes ₹600. The app even suggests: "Aditya pays Ravi ₹900, Karthik pays Ravi ₹800, Sameer pays Ravi ₹600" - settled. Everyone pays through their preferred apps, marks it settled in LetzGo. Balance goes to zero.
Daily Life, Simplified
Someone ate the last egg? Check the checklist. Who's cooking tonight? Message in chat. Landlord inspection next week? Reminder in the event. New roommate joining? Add him to the group, past expenses stay separate, future ones include him. Simple.

The Challenge
Priya is a talented artist who started hosting Mandala Art workshops from her home studio in Pune. She wants to turn this into a steady side income. The challenges: Getting registrations, tracking who paid, managing limited capacity (max 12 people), coordinating with participants, keeping track of expenses vs income, and building a loyal community who returns every month. Juggling group chats, payment confirmations, and spreadsheets is exhausting.
The LetzGo Way - Running Your Event Business
Step 1: Create Professional Event Listings
Priya creates "Mandala Art Workshop - February" on LetzGo. Adds her studio address with map integration (helps first-timers find it easily). Sets capacity to 12 participants. Adds beautiful description, timeline (11 AM - 3 PM with lunch break), and pricing (₹800 per person, materials included). Generates a shareable event link.
Step 2: Share & Track Registrations
She shares the event link on her social media, website, and community groups. People click the link, see all details, and confirm attendance - all tracked in real-time. When 12 people register, she stops accepting more. Two days before the workshop, LetzGo automatically sends reminder notifications to all participants.
Step 3: Build Your Community
All registered participants are added to a workshop group chat. Priya shares: "What to expect", parking instructions, and asks about any dietary preferences for snacks. Creates a poll: "Next month's theme?" - participants vote on Warli art, Madhubani, or Abstract. This keeps them engaged for future workshops.
Step 4: Track Money Like a Pro
She uses Splitz to track everything professionally. Registration fees: ₹800 × 12 = ₹9,600 collected. She marks who paid and who's pending - the app makes it easy to send gentle reminders. Building Her Following
Happy participants tap "Follow Priya" - now they'll see all her upcoming workshops in their feed and get notified when she posts new events. Next workshop? 12 slots fill in 2 days from her follower notifications alone.

Starting a Chat
Tap the + Button
On the Chatz tab, tap the floating + button at the bottom right.
Select Your Connections
Choose from people you've already connected with (via username, QR code, or events). Only your existing connections are visible here - phone numbers never appear.
Name Your Group (Optional)
For group chats with 3+ people, give it a memorable name and add a group photo.
You can only start chats with people you've connected with (mutual connections from contacts, event participants, or users you've added). This keeps spam away and conversations meaningful.
Creating Polls
Polls help your group make decisions together:
- In any chat, tap the + button next to the message input
- Select Poll from the options
- Enter your question and add options
- Set poll settings (multiple choice, anonymous, deadline)
- Tap Create Poll
Use polls for: choosing restaurants, picking travel dates, voting on activities, or deciding what movie to watch!
Using Checklists
Shared checklists keep everyone on the same page:
- Tap the + button in a chat
- Select Checklist
- Add a title (e.g., "Goa Trip Packing List")
- Add items to the list
- Share with your group
Everyone in the group can add items and check them off. Perfect for coordinating who's bringing what!
Media Gallery
Access all shared media in one place:
- Tap the chat name at the top to open chat info
- Select Media to see all photos, videos, and files
- Filter by type: Photos, Videos, Documents, Links
- Download or share any media
🔒 Private Chats Within Groups
One of LetzGo's most powerful features for real-world situations:
The Problem: You're in a family group planning a surprise birthday. Or your office team group needs to secretly plan a farewell. Creating a new group means duplicate groups, managing multiple chats, and risk of the person finding out.
The Solution: Private chats within existing groups.
Tap the Lock Icon
In any group chat, tap the 🔒 lock icon at the top.
Select Members
Choose which group members should see this private conversation. Unselected members won't see these messages at all.
Chat Privately
Have your private conversation. Send messages, polls, checklists - everything works. Other members see the regular group chat only.
Return to Main Chat
Tap unlock when done. Switch between main group and private conversations anytime.

• Temporary sub-group coordination (planning committee within larger group)
• Sensitive topics (select few need to discuss something privately)

Creating an Itinerary
For multi-day events like trips:
- Open your event and go to the Itinerary tab
- Tap Add Day or use AI Itinerary
- For each day, add activities with times and locations
- Drag to reorder activities
- Add notes and estimated costs
Let our AI create a suggested itinerary based on your destination and dates. Just tap "Generate with AI" and customize!
Managing Participants
- RSVP Status: See who's going, maybe, or can't make it
- Roles: Assign organizers who can edit the event
- Share Link: Generate a link to invite anyone
- Event Chat: Every event has a linked group chat

- Build Your Following: When people love your events, they can follow you. Your future events appear in their feed with notifications.

Creating a Splitz Group
Create or Join a Group
Splitz groups are linked to your Chatz groups or events. Select an existing group or create a new one.
Set Base Currency
Choose the main currency for the group. All balances will be shown in this currency.
Start Adding Expenses
Tap + to add your first expense. You're ready to split!

Manual Entry
- Tap the + button
- Enter the amount and description
- Select who paid
- Choose how to split (equal, unequal, percentage)
- Select who's involved in this expense
- Add category, notes, or photos (optional)
- Tap Save
Scan Receipt
- Tap the 📷 Scan button
- Take a photo of your receipt
- AI will extract the total and items
- Review and adjust if needed
- Split the expense
For best results: Use good lighting, keep the receipt flat, and include the entire receipt in the frame.
Splitting Methods

Settling Up
When it's time to settle:
- Go to the Balances tab in your group
- See who owes whom and how much
- Tap Settle Up next to a balance
- Pay through your preferred payment app or record a cash payment
- The balance updates automatically
Make sure all your Splitz expenses are settled before requesting account deletion. Unsettled balances will delay the deletion process.

AI Itinerary Generator
Open Event Itinerary
Go to your event and tap the Itinerary tab.
Tap "Generate with AI"
Tell AI about your preferences: adventure, relaxation, food, culture, etc.
Review & Customize
AI will create a suggested itinerary. Edit, add, or remove activities as needed.
The more details you provide, the better the AI suggestions. Include dates, number of travelers, budget, and interests!

LetzGo is designed with privacy as a priority. Here's what makes us different:

We NEVER access your phone contacts. Unlike other apps, your contact list stays on your device, private.
📱 Phone Number Privacy
Your phone number is NEVER visible to anyone. Not even searchable. Connect via profile links or QR codes only.
🔐 End-to-End Encryption
All your messages in Chatz are encrypted. Only you and the recipients can read them.
📧 Email Privacy
Your email address stays private. Used only for account verification, never shared publicly.
👤 Profile Visibility Control
Choose who can find your profile: Public, Private, or custom settings.
Privacy Settings
Customize your privacy preferences - you're in complete control:

Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy to customize your preferences. Review them regularly to ensure you're comfortable with your visibility.
How People Connect With You
- Through Name Search: If your profile is "Public", people can search by your display name, first name, last name, or @username
- Through Events: When you join an event, other participants can see you and connect naturally
- Through Username/QR: Share your unique @username or QR code - no personal details exposed, works even if profile is private
- You Choose: Set profile to "Private" and ONLY QR/username/events work. Set to "Public" and search also works
For balanced privacy: Set profile to "Public" (discoverable by name) + Keep end-to-end encryption on (always) + Review who can see your events. For maximum privacy: Set to "Private" + share @username or QR only with people you know.
What We Never Access or Share
- 🚫 Your phone contacts - We never access your contact list. Ever.
- ❌ Your phone number with other users - Not visible, not searchable
- ❌ Your email address publicly - Only used for account verification
- ❌ Your exact location - Only venues you manually add to events
- ❌ Your messages with anyone - End-to-end encrypted
- ❌ Your personal data with third parties for marketing

Troubleshooting
Common issues and solutions
Messages not sending?
- Check your internet connection
- Pull down to refresh the chat
- Try closing and reopening the app
- Messages are queued and will send when you're back online
Not receiving notifications?
- Check notification permissions in your phone settings
- Make sure notifications are enabled in LetzGo settings
- Check if Do Not Disturb mode is on
- Try logging out and back in
Receipt scanning not working?
- Ensure good lighting when taking the photo
- Keep the receipt flat and fully visible
- Try taking the photo closer or further away
- Make sure the receipt text is clear and not faded
App running slowly?
- Update to the latest version of LetzGo
- Clear app cache (Settings → Storage → Clear Cache)
- Make sure your phone has enough storage space
- Restart the app
Sync issues?
- Pull down to refresh on any screen
- Check your internet connection
- Log out and log back in
- Contact support if the issue persists
